"Life is more impenetrable than it appears ..."
Baldomero Wong claims to have killed and ten years of life was spent trying unsuccessfully to convince everyone of guilt, completely unprovable.
The bottom is almost philosophical ... You know, all the question of whether a tree falls in a forest and no one to hear ... etc. ... The eternal debate of transparency and opacity of the words and actions ... after all, perhaps the text should read as a fable about ambiguities of language.
All the speeches that attempt to account for the real thing end up being unsuccessful.
Baldomero The case history is told by a friend. Wong has been murdered. Baldomero declares his guilt, but Camacho, the detective handling the case, completely discredited the confession Baldomero. There is no evidence Baldomero involving the murder and also argues Camacho, Baldomero had been unable to kill Wong.
Baldomero Camacho is convinced that is a pathological liar or a madman, but in no way admits that it may be a murderer. Baldomero is frustrated and desperate. From the moment he took the decision to declare his guilt, never envisioned that could be discredited and taken for a madman.
The narrator of this story Baldomero knew personally, was a neighbor of his when he decided to move neighborhood. Just met him, seemed a most singular character. A typical intellectual, vain until the cows. A character can be portrayed himself in an imposing box, looking majestically under the caption: "Baldomero, Prince of Darkness." In one of the walls of his house, has suspended rope twenty-four perfectly synchronized clocks, who likes to sit and listen.
The day in which the narrator knows Baldomero, listens on the phone arguing with a Chinese. Baldomero then explains that the Chinese opium dealer was his and now tries to blackmail him, threatening with his ex-wife to reveal everything about his addiction to opium, which all his reputation would be severely damaged.
Baldomero The mobile is admissible, but the inspector insists that Baldomero is only a coward who tries to be clothed with the glory of a murder he could never commit.
The punishment of the murderer is perfect anonymity. What good is the perfect crime if you can not bear the signature of its author?
The case could Baldomero be a detective story, however, seems more like a refutation of the detective genre, building on their own items. The text is articulated like a detective story but does not work like a detective story, it leaves behind small seeds dispersed eventually subverting its content.
All text is perfectly permissible to be read as a clever joke, in which all text topics police and, ultimately, the whole sense that you have the literature, it becomes questioned. The last reflection question: what better victory that set up the fraud in revealed truth?
